Troubleshooting
“No venue connected”
Section titled ““No venue connected””You are signed in but have not linked Hyperliquid, or you are signed in with a different wallet than the one you linked. Each address is its own taker account. Check the address in the header chip.
The header chip is amber
Section titled “The header chip is amber”Your wallet has a different account selected than the one your taker session belongs to. Click the chip and choose Switch to 0x…, then sign. See Connect a wallet.
My wallet shows a red warning when signing
Section titled “My wallet shows a red warning when signing”Check the domain in the message. It should say taker.trade. If it names any other domain, do not sign — that mismatch is the core of most phishing, and your wallet is right to flag it.
If it does say taker.trade and your wallet still warns, that is usually generic caution about a domain it has not seen often. Read the message; it should be a plain sign-in statement, not a transaction.
An order was refused
Section titled “An order was refused”The message names the reason. The usual ones:
- A risk limit — size, leverage, daily loss or daily notional. Adjust in Settings, or trade smaller. See Your risk limits.
- The card expired — prices moved and the quote went stale. Ask again.
- Insufficient margin — the position needs more collateral than is free.
- Reduce-only mode — the account is set to closing only.
The assistant asks which market for “cancel all”
Section titled “The assistant asks which market for “cancel all””It should not — it can see your resting orders. If it does, you likely have no open orders at all. Check the Open Orders tab.
Prices are not updating
Section titled “Prices are not updating”The live feed needs a session; signed out, the chart shows history but the price does not tick. If you are signed in and prices are frozen, check Hyperliquid’s status — a venue outage looks identical from here, and taker cannot invent prices it is not receiving.
A position I closed still shows
Section titled “A position I closed still shows”Positions refresh from the venue after every execution. If a closed position persists for more than a few seconds, reload. If it survives a reload, check Hyperliquid’s own interface — if the position is genuinely still open there, the close did not execute and the reason will be in your chat or the toast.
Free messages ran out
Section titled “Free messages ran out”The free tier resets at 00:00 UTC. For unlimited turns, add your own API key in Settings — see Models and API keys.
Still stuck
Section titled “Still stuck”taker is early and testnet-only. If something is wrong, the detail that makes a report actionable is the time it happened — server logs are timestamped, and a timestamp turns “it broke” into a findable line.
